Gary Wald - Partner

Gary's career includes stints with major advertising agencies (Ogilvy & Mather, Grey), consulting firms (Luminant) and Fortune 500 marketers (NBC, GTE/Verizon). His core competencies include growing revenues and profits and building brands using innovative marketing programs, business development initiatives, licensing agreements and strategic alliance partnerships.

Gary's career successes include; launching Aim Toothpaste; re-branding Dove soap; launching Transformers and building it into one of the industry's most successful toy brands; repositioning G.I. Joe into a hot collectible; licensing Transformers and G.I. Joe television programs to broadcasters around the world; building department store and chain drug retail distribution for new Revlon perfumes; launching CNBC as a worldwide brand; growing subscribers and generating licensing revenue for GTE's (now Verizon) cable TV and Internet divisions; building affinity web sites for GlaxoSmithKlein pharmaceutical brands, building broad awareness for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; extending the product life cycle of Medtronic's insulin pump by enabling product upgrades using software enhancements and launching the first diabetes management system that enables a glucometer and insulin pump to communicate with each other using wireless technology.
Gary earned an MBA in marketing from Northwestern University.


Connie's background includes marketing, CRM, database management, product development, new product introductions, advertising, promotion and merchandising. She has worked for Fortune 500 retailers, cosmetic marketers and advertising agencies. She spent eight years as Vice President of Marketing for Neiman Marcus where she helped grow revenue with new store introductions, new customer acquisitions and dramatically increasing current customer spending.

Connie began her career at Carson Pirie Scott in Chicago, later holding buyer positions for Robinsons in Los Angeles and Gimbels in New York. She joined Avon Products as Marketing Manager of their skincare category and later served as Senior Marketing Manager of their make-up brands. Connie joined Hakuhodo Advertising Agency as Vice President, where she developed, positioned and promoted high-end brands for Hakuhodo clients Tsumora and Kirin Beer.
She later joined the Conair Corporation as Director of Account Services for their in-house advertising agency. In this capacity she directed all marketing strategy and creative work for Conair , Southwestern Bell Retail and Cuisinart products.

Connie serves on the advisory board of the University of Wisconsin, School of Retailing. She is a former board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
